So there it is. If you want to build your own pack, you'll need a travel pack with a front zip, preferably with an internal frame. You'll also need some felt (1 metre was enough for me) and a sleeping mat (you can get cheap ones from Kmart or surplus stores).

The brand of the one I've got is "Great Outdoors" and the model is the "Contiki Small". I bought it at the local camping shop for AUD$130. I've since seen others on TV which would also have worked well - all you really require is a front access zip and some imagination.

Oh, and if anybody is looking for a good idea for a business - try designing a generic "Photo Pack" insert with velcro attachments that can be used in most travel packs like this. You'll make a killing by undercutting Lowepro.
